Lebanese artist Ziad Antar in conversation with Jessica Morgan, The Daskalopoulos Curator, International Art at Tate, about his photographic work. His new publication Portrait of a Territory co-published by Actes Sud and Sharjah Art Foundation will also be available.
Antar has been working with photography and video since 2002, the artistʼs quiet and reflective stance reveals the social and political structures that influence daily life. He directed his first documentary on the French photographer Jean-Luc Moulène and has since made several documentaries for the Arabic news channel al-Arabiya.

Ziad Antar is currently undertaking a residency at Delfina Foundation. He lives and works between Saida (Lebanon) and Paris (France). He graduated with a degree in agricultural engineering in 2001, and has been working in photography and video since 2002. He completed a one-year residency at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris in 2003 and a one year residency at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris.
