An open discussion with Hengameh Golestan and Justice for Domestic Workers around issues of gender, protest and representation.
This is an event to accompany the exhibition Hengameh Golestan: Witness 1979.
Born in Tehran in 1952, Golestan is a pioneer among Iranian women photographers. Between 1974 and 1984 she documented life in Iran, including the Iranian Revolution, with a particular focus on women and children.
MoreEstablished in 2009 and supported by Unite the Union, J4DW is an organisation of migrant domestic workers who work in private houses in the UK, and active in campaigning for rights for domestic workers.
