Open workshops and events include:
Monday 27 July, 11am–1pm: People Make Videos Play Day for kids and adults
Wednesday 29 July, 6.30–8.30pm: Community Video Show: Screening and discussion with Margaret Dickinson presented with LUX
Saturday 1 August, 12–5pm: People Make Videos Open Day
Since late 2014 Ed Webb-Ingall worked with The Showroom and four groups local to the gallery to explore the history, practice and relevance of community video in London from the 1970s.
For five days in summer 2015 the gallery was opened up as a space to further these discussions and make new videos. In addition we invited local filmmakers, amateur documentary makers and home video producers to show their work alongside the new works at an Open Day that took place on 1 August 2015.
This event was part of the project Ed Webb-Ingall: People Make Videos: UK Community Video from the 1970s to now, 2015–2017, in collaboration with Penfold Hub, King Solomon Academy, Church Street Library English Speaking Group and Church Street residents.

This project was commissioned as part of Communal Knowledge which was generously supported by Paul Hamlyn Foundation, City Bridge Trust, the City of London Corporation’s Charity, John Lyon’s Charity and Garfield Weston Foundation.
A filmmaker and writer with an interest in exploring practices and forms of collaboration, Webb-Ingall is currently a TECHNE PhD candidate at Royal Holloway University in Surrey where his research focuses on the history and practice of community video in the UK between 1968 and 1981.
