Are you interested in learning more about collective and collaborative video making?
This was a free one-off workshop run by People Make Videos where visitors could learn more about what they were doing and to try their hands at being part of the video making process. No experience was necessary and visitors received a free manual.
Since 2014 as part of the Communal Knowledge programme Ed Webb-Ingall and members of the project's People Make Videos group have been working together to address the history of community video practice in London from the 1970s.

This event was part of the project Ed Webb-Ingall: People Make Videos: UK Community Video from the 1970s to now, 2015–2017, in collaboration with Penfold Hub, King Solomon Academy, Church Street Library English Speaking Group and Church Street residents.

This project was commissioned as part of Communal Knowledge which was generously supported by Paul Hamlyn Foundation, City Bridge Trust, the City of London Corporation’s Charity, John Lyon’s Charity and Garfield Weston Foundation.
As part of the Communal Knowledge programme, Ed Webb Ingall and four local groups will work together to address the history of community video practice in London from the 1970s.
MoreA filmmaker and writer with an interest in exploring practices and forms of collaboration, Webb-Ingall is currently a TECHNE PhD candidate at Royal Holloway University in Surrey where his research focuses on the history and practice of community video in the UK between 1968 and 1981.
